ZAPALLITO DE TRONCO  [SQ180P] by Greg Schroeder Date Added: Sunday 06 May, 2007 This is the most versatile squash I've ever grown. As a summer squash, it's as fast-growing and prolific in NW Montana as any other squash I've tried. The summer squash flavor is sweet, something like a cantaloupe, a cucumber, and zucchini. As a winter squash, it keeps well and has a fairly good flavor baked, and works great in soups and stews. When something works this well for me, I grow it every year. It's utility and quality make it one of the cornerstones of my garden. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
